There was not much to this match even with a hot crowd they didn’t react to much until the finish. I’ve said it numerous times, but I can’t stand the Bushwhackers. They are not entertaining at all. I kind of wish the Nasty Boys would be presented better than they have been.)

5.) The panel talk about SummerSlam where Duggan says he enjoyed knocking around the Nasty Boys and Mountie. Bobby Heenan brags about Ric Flair winning the WWF World Champion. Mr. Perfect says Flair will be champion as along as he’s working with Flair.

Powers clotheslines Michaels and strikes Michaels in the midsection followed by a knee lift and a dropkick. Powers sends Michaels into the corner, but misses a splash and is met with a superkick. Michaels plants Powers with a tear drop suplex for the win. (*1/2. Not too bad of a match, but it’s mostly an extended squash for Michaels. It’s a nice surprise to see Michaels win the match cleanly, too.)

8.) The panel discuss what happened at SummerSlam when Flair used a chair on Savage. Duggan believes that damage was done to the knee.

Savage tries to counter, but Flair keeps the advantage. Savage is grabbing the referee trying to find a way to counter, but isn’t able to do so. Savage is fading and the referee counts as Savage’s shoulders on the mat and counts to three. Flair wins the title. Savage passed out. (*1/2. They went heavy on the knee work on Savage to seemingly protect him quite a bit. Ramon’s involvement confirms the next feud with Savage, and I’d guess that Savage is going to be putting over the younger talent as the WWF heads towards a rebuilding period as they need fresher stars. Flair’s title win concludes the angle for the past several months and I’d guess he’s going to be working Warrior as his next feud.)

10.) Back to the panel, Bobby Heenan and Mr. Perfect are celebrating the title win of WWF World Champion Ric Flair. Vince McMahon talks about Razor Ramon returning to the ring when Savage was laid out and being helped to his feet. We see footage of Ramon coming back to ringside to attack Savage more. Hart is proud about how he conducted himself at SummerSlam. Hart doesn’t believes in the boogeyman and doesn’t believe in the curse that Papa Shango put on him. Mr. Perfect doesn’t believe that the curse didn’t impact Hart’s match. Hart says that Shango is using fear as his weapon. Hart asks why doesn’t Shango turn him into something if his magic is real. Heenan asks how the family relationships are doing now. Hart says the families is back to fairly normal levels. McMahon puts over the brute strength of Shango. Hart says he could hangup the tights similar to Mr. Perfect, but he’s not going to do that. Hart is getting back into the ring and there’s no better choice than Shango. Hart is going to beat Shango’s curse.

13.) Nailz decks Slaughter off the apron before the bell sounds. Nailz beats on Slaughter with a nightstick around ringside. Nailz viciously attacks Slaughter with the nightstick and chokes Slaughter against the apron. Several officials come out to stop the beating. Nailz whacks Slaughter over the back with another chair shot. Slaughter is stretchered out. (NR. Obviously this was never a match and it’s just a way to continue to put Nailz over as a monster. This is the last appearance for Slaughter as a regular in-ring active competitor, as well.)

14.) Kato goes on the attack, but Taker responds with strikes to drop Kato to the mat. Taker rams Kato into the corner and sends Kato across the ring, but is met with a boot to the face. Taker sends Kato into the corner and spikes Kato with the tombstone for the win. (1/2*. Exactly what you’d expect.)

Final Thoughts:
A decent episode this week as we witnessed a rare WWF World Championship title change on free television and got an exclusive match from SummerSlam that hadn’t aired originally. Flair being champion pays off the angle, but a potential feud with Warrior doesn’t catch my interest. I’d much rather stay the course with Savage and push Ramon into the top title feud at this point. Whether it be at Survivor Series or even the Royal Rumble there’s plenty of time to build Ramon to be a viable top level heel for the company.
