The NEW WWF Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels makes his way down to the ring with a big man by his side (Diesel). Michaels had won the title back from Marty Jannetty at a house show the previous night in Albany, NY.

Shawn Michaels heads over the announcers table and brags about winning his title back. Vince McMahon goes over the matches scheduled for tonight. Rick Steiner will team up with Billy Gunn and face the team of IRS and Fatu.

Opening Contest: WWF Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels defeated Russ Greenberg: Throughout the contest, Vince, Randy and Bobby are trying to figure out the bodyguard’s name that is with Michaels. Michaels wins the squash following a pile driver.

Gene is back to plug the King of the Ring. Now that Shawn Michaels has won the title back, he must defend the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Crush.

Back to the Manhattan Center where Shawn Michaels has just gotten word that he must defend against Crush at the PPV. Michaels believes that McMahon is jealous of his success.

Second Contest: Adam Bomb defeated Tito Santana:
Bomb is now sporting yellow eyes. McMahon mentions during the match that Razor Ramon has not upped his offer to face the Kid again to $7,500. Santana actually holds his own against Bomb and gets several near falls. Bomb manages to pick up the win following a clothesline after leaping over the ropes from the apron.

Third Contest: Tatanka defeated Peter Weeks:
Tatanka with another squash match after picking up the win with a Samoan Drop.

Jerry Lawler comes out for “Kings Court”. Lawler insults both Randy Savage and Vince McMahon. Lawler also calls New York City the “Rotten Apple”. Lawler continues by saying that he will have a guest and that will be the next WWF World Heavyweight Champion, Yokozuna!

Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji come out for King’s Court. Mr. Fuji says that Yokozuna will be 550lbs come King of the Ring. Mr. Fuji wants to hear every bone in Hogan’s body break. Yokozuna finishes the segment off by saying “Hogan… You will go down!”.

Vince, Randy and Bobby predict who will win the contest between Hogan and Yokozuna. They continue to promote the fact that Yokozuna and Bret Hart went twenty minutes at Wrestle Mania IX. (For the record, they only went nine minutes before Hogan challenged and defeated Yokozuna for the belt).

Main Event: IRS/Fatu defeated Rick Steiner/Billy Gunn: Rick Steiner and Fatu start off the contest after IRS and Billy Gunn were originally in to start. Steiner tags out to Gunn, again and Fatu works on Gunn. Gunn reverses a vertical suplex but is met with a back elbow. Gunn with a dropkick, and a swinging neck breaker for a near fall. Steiner tags into the match and is sent into the ropes where he power slams Fatu for a near fall. Steiner runs into a back elbow in the corner and is clotheslined by Fatu. IRS tags in and charges towards Steiner but misses a clothesline and falls to the floor. Steiner with a couple of right hands and a clothesline followed by a elbow drop for a near fall. Steiner tags out to Gunn who leg drops the left arm of IRS. Gunn tags out but IRS sends Steiner into his corner and goes to punch Steiner but instead hits Fatu who is knocked off the apron. Afa and Samu stalk IRS who backs off and DiBiase pays them off to not attack them. Rick with a side headlock takedown but IRS tries rolling over a few times to no avail. IRS sends Steiner through the middle rope to the floor. IRS again sends Steiner to the floor where DiBiase sends Steiner into the ring steps. Steiner is double teamed on the floor for a few moments. In the ring, Steiner is double teamed briefly by Fatu and IRS. Fatu with a big clothesline on Steiner and taunts the camera. Fatu goes for the cover but Steiner is able to kick out at two. IRS hammers away on Steiner in the corner. Fatu leaps off the middle rope but Steiner gets his knees up to avoid a big splash. Gunn gets the tag and backdrops IRS and Fatu. Gunn clotheslines IRS and dropkicks Fatu as well. Gunn knocks DiBiase off the apron but is met with a clothesline from behind by IRS who pins Gunn to win the match.
After the match, the heels taunt the baby faces who aren’t happy in the ring.

Marty Jannetty will be in action next week facing Doink the Clown. Mr. Perfect will also be in singles action.

Razor Ramon makes his way down to the ringside area to be interviewed by Vince McMahon. Ramon says that he and 1-2-3 Kid will have a rematch next week. Ramon also says that for $7,500 he could have everyone standing on their heads naked.

My Take:
Shawn Michaels showed on this show why he is a quality heel. With Adam Bomb having a fairly even contest with Tito Santana, that kind of hurts him in my eyes. Bomb should be going over guys fairly easily and quickly. I really think Bomb is a perfect match-up for The Undertaker. He would be much better than the joke known as Giant Gonzalez.
