Joey Styles and Joel Gertner are standing in the ring to welcome everyone to the show. Styles gets a cheap pop by mentioning Florida State is the national champions of college football. Cyrus once again comes out to cut Gertner off during his promo. Cyrus mentions that RVD has broken his leg and says he feels horrible about the situation. He says that the Network is not concerned about RVD but rather money, commitments and ratings. Cyrus continues to talk about how ECW is a lead in to shows like Roller Jam. He says we will see the ECW Television Championship defended here tonight. So, Cyrus announces that Spike Dudley will defend the ECW Television Championship for RVD against the Dupps in a handicap match.

Backstage, Raven is sitting with Mikey Whipwreck. Raven wants Whipwreck to make it painfully clear to Dreamer that the situation with Francine is not worth ending their friendship. Raven is convinced that he and Dreamer are best friends. Whipwreck tells Raven he feels his pain and will help him out. Whipwreck says Raven is a weird guy after Raven leaves. The Minister guy says that Raven makes for the perfect disciple and they laugh to end the segment.
Backstage, New Jack and Balls Mahoney cut a promo on Da Baldies. Jack says that they are going to fight the Baldies on the bad side of the street to fight them. “When you play with fire, your ass gets burned.”
Second Contest: Tommy Dreamer defeated Mikey Whipwreck: Dreamer shoulder blocks Whipwreck to open the bout. They have a standoff after Dreamer gets out of a Boston crab. The Minister comes down to the ringside area to watch the bout. Whipwreck low blows Dreamer from behind and connects with a slingshot leg drop on the apron. Whipwreck sends Dreamer back first into the guard railing and works on Dreamer with a few microphone shots. Dreamer stops Whipwreck with a backdrop into the crowd. Dreamer hits Whipwreck with a microphone and they brawl in the crowd. Whipwreck sends Dreamer head first into some bleachers and argues with the referee after doing so. They end up climbing the bleachers with Whipwreck delivering several head butts but Dreamer battles back with a few punches. Whipwreck falls off after being hit with a beer. They get back into the ring with Dreamer bringing a chair into the mix. Dreamer misses a chair shot and Whipwreck connects with a side Russian leg sweep onto the chair. Whipwreck follows up with a leg drop onto the chair. Whipwreck runs into a big boot and Dreamer hits a swinging neck breaker. Dreamer gets crotched on the top rope and Whipwreck fails at an attempted Whippersnapper. Dreamer misses an elbow drop off the top but avoids a moonsault from Whipwreck as well. Dreamer connects with the Dreamer Driver but is pulled out by the Minister. Francine gets into the ring with Minister and ends up delivering a low blow. Francine delivers a bronco buster but is grabbed by Whipwreck. Whipwreck low blows Dreamer followed by a super kick for a two count. Raven walks down to the ring and gets powder thrown into his eyes by Whipwreck. Raven staggers around and accidentally DDT’s Francine. Dreamer punches Raven and is nearly pinned by Whipwreck. Dreamer plants Whipwreck with the Spicolli Driver but doesn’t cover but instead attacks Raven. Dreamer plants Whipwreck with a DDT to get the win. **
Backstage, Dreamer is looking for Francine and attacks Bilvis for saying she is mos t likely banging Raven. Several wrestlers hold Dreamer back but Dreamer attacks another guy for telling him that Raven was blinded. Dreamer didn’t care to hear that news.
Main Event: ECW World Tag Team Champion Justin Credible fought Raven to a no contest: Raven sends Credible over the top to the apron and sends Credible chest first into the guard railing. Raven lays Credible on to a table to deliver a few right hands. Raven leaps off the middle rope and crashes through the table hitting a poor looking elbow drop. Raven tosses Credible into the broken table and chokes Credible with a broken table leg. Raven goes back to using the table leg to choke Credible. Raven goes under the ring to slide another table into the ring. Credible goes upside down into a corner but falls onto the apron as Raven sets up the tables in a corner. Credible is able to toss Raven through the table in the corner. Credible stomps away on Raven before taunting the fans. Credible punches Raven to the floor where Credible rams Raven head first into the railing before delivering a super kick. Raven is now bleeding at this point. Credible punches Raven with a beer which gets all over several fans, who don’t look happy about that! Credible gets a near fall back in the ring and keeps control with a sleeper hold. Raven battles back with a knee lift. On the floor, Credible punches Raven before sliding another table into the ring. Credible misses a dive and crashes through the table set up in the corner. Credible connects with the That’s Incredible onto the chair as Storm leaps off the middle rope to add more impact. The Impact Players say their catch phrase as Danny Doring and Amish Roadkill to attack the tag team champions! *1/2
After a commercial, Heyman, Cyrus and Dusty Rhodes are in the ring checking on Raven. Rhodes backs Cyrus into a corner telling Cyrus this is about the boys and not the Network. Cyrus says that the Network is losing money and the ratings are slipping because of Raven being laid out in the ring. Rhodes says this isn’t about the ratings and all that. Rhodes is saying this is about the boys busting their asses. Rhodes talks about being drawn into a situation and says that everyone in the back are not nobodies. Rhodes isn’t here to win the ECW World Championship. He is here because the fans cared about what he was doing for thirty years. Rhodes mentions how he showed the ECW Arena fans respect, he got it back from them. Steve Corino comes out but Rhodes says he doesn’t want to hear what Corino has to say. Corino tries to slap Rhodes hat off, but fails two times. Rhodes ends up attacking Corino, Cyrus and Jack Victory until Rhino runs down and attacks Rhodes! Corino puts the figure four on Rhodes. The beat down continues until the Sandman appears at the top of the aisle way as the show comes to an end.
My Take: Dreamer/Whipwreck was a decent brawl, but the more I watch these shows the more the matches just seem to have the same progression. Fight in the ring, brawl at ringside which includes a guard railing spot and brawl through the crowd. It gets old pretty quickly if you ask me. Anyway, I thought Raven hitting Francine with a DDT was a nice twist to the story, which had been pretty dull up to this point.
Raven/Credible falls under the same category as the Dreamer/Whipwreck match. It wasn’t anything all that special, really. The ending of the show was good because I really like Rhino coming out to attack Rhodes. Nice to see the return from I believe an injury, of the Sandman. He should be feuding with Rhino since they were supposed to have singles matches recently but those never happened.
Overall, the show seemed to drag on and the matches were kind of a let down.
Thanks for reading.
