Angle Developments/Notes:
1. We hear from WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan who thanks Jack Tunney for putting together the match with the Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania VI. He says the fans want to know if they are the ultimate force in wrestling. Hogan wants to know who the strongest force is. Hogan doesn’t believe Warrior is real because of his veins and muscles. Hogan doesn’t believe that Warrior’s gods can beat him. He is willing to put the WWF World Championship! Warrior chimes in with his rambling thoughts as well. Warrior says that Hogan has walked into a frustration (?). Warrior tells Hogan he has already made a mistake. He is what lets Hogan breath. Warrior considers himself to be a reality and the frustration to society.
2. During the Rude/Beefcake match we hear from Mr. Perfect who says he has a close eye on everything Beefcake is doing. He also says that Beefcake will never get his hands on the Genius ever again. Rude cheap shots Beefcake as the referee stopped Beefcake from delivering a closed right hand. Prior to that they were mainly stalling with a pose off. The referee stops Rude from hitting a closed right hand and Beefcake gets the advantage. Mr. Perfect and the Genius run down to the ring and attack Beefcake with Rude. After the match, Beefcake gets his clippers and chases the heels from the ring. That wasn’t really anything of a match.
3. This week, Slick and Akeem are guests on the Brother Love Show. Slick knows that he should have never trusted Big Bossman, who he calls a redneck. He has confidence and trust in Akeem, though. Slick issues a challenge for Bossman to wrestle Akeem. Akeem tells us that he was the guy who carried the Twin Towers tag team. Akeem says it’s payback time and Bossman is going to pay the price. Here comes Ted DiBiase and Virgil. DiBiase calls Roberts a snake in the grass who stole something that didn’t belong to him. He says that Bossman was too stupid to take the money to get his championship back. DiBiase knows that there are people who will take the money to get the championship back for him. Akeem grabs some of the money and it looks like he is going to take Bossman out at some point.
4. To close the program, we hear comments from WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage regarding their match with the special referee being Mike Tyson. Savage says he is going to regain the championship and tells Mike Tyson that he will raise his hand in victory. If Tyson does that he will feel the wrath of the King! WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan says this Friday will be the final encounter of the Mega Powers. He warns Tyson to call it down right down the middle or feel his own wrath!
Final Thoughts:
It wasn’t all that good of an episode. The featured match was just a way to kill time before advancing the Perfect/Beefcake issue. The promos by Warrior and Hogan continue to be rather humorous to me because they are overdoing the grunting and growling. I’m not all that interested in a match between Bossman/Akeem, but they have to do that so Bossman can work with DiBiase after Mania, I suppose. So, I’m going to give this one a mild thumbs down.
Thanks for reading.
