Angle Developments/Notes:
1. Jack Tunney releases his decision regarding what happened at Royal Rumble between Bret Hart and Lex Luger. He believes both men should get a WWF World Championship shot at WrestleMania X. So, at WrestleMania X, for the first time ever, the WWF World Championship will be defended twice. Well, that’s not true because just last year it was defended twice. Remember that? Jack Tunney didn’t. If Luger wins the coin toss then Bret Hart would have to wrestle Owen Hart before his title shot. If Bret Hart were to win the coin toss then Luger would wrestle Crush at the event. Oh, and two special guest referees will be assigned to the title matches.
2. We see footage of how Jim Cornette, Mr. Fuji and WWF World Champion Yokozuna celebrated their victory over the Undertaker at the Royal Rumble. Cornette claims that Japan is going to have a big celebration for Yokozuna. Cornette credits Yokozuna for getting the win all by himself.
3. This is the television debut of Sparky Plugg. His gimmick is that he is a racecar driver. For those interested his finisher is a top rope splash. Also, Plugg would later be known as Hardcore Holly.
4. Paul Bearer brings a casket down to the ring so we can hear the last words from the Undertaker. They are saying it is the spirit of the Undertaker. Taker says that his spirit lives within all of mankind. His spirit can not be extinguished. Soon enough we will all experience the rebirth of the Undertaker. He will not rest in peace.
Final Thoughts:
The only two segments that had anything of note were the debut of Sparky Plugg and the final words by the Undertaker, who promised a rebirth. Oh, and the announcement that two WWF World Championship matches will happen for the first time, though that literally happened at WrestleMania IX. This one gets a thumbs down from me.
Thanks for reading.
