World Wrestling Federation presents Superstars
Date:
5/15/1993
From: Tucson, AZ

Matches:
1.)The Steiner Brothers defeated Mark Ming & Jim Armstrong
2.)Mr. Hughes defeated Bobby Young
3.)Bob Backlund defeated Terry Zeller
4.)Virgil defeated Jose Martinez
5.)WWF Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels defeated Billy Jones
6.)Tatanka defeated Giant Gonzalez via disqualification in a KOTR Qualifying Match

Angle Developments/Notes:
1. Harvey Wippleman says that Tatanka’s streak will be coming to an end soon when he meets Giant Gonzalez tonight.

2. Mean Gene hosts the Face To Face segment as there will be a match between WWF Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon for the championship. Michaels doesn’t like the idea that he has to wrestle Ramon at Madison Square Garden. Ramon tells Michaels he gets the fat girl this time around, it’s actually not a promo for their match. I kind of liked the direction they went with it.

3. Boni Blackstone makes her debut to interview Lex Luger. Luger checks himself out in the mirror for most of the interview. Blackstone is focusing on his forearm which has two screws and holds a steel plate. Luger thinks we don’t need to get into that topic because the decision has been issued already. Luger doesn’t care what anyone thinks and says nobody tells him what he can and can’t do in the WWF. He will knockout anyone in the WWF! He will especially knockout Bret Hart to do it!

4. Gonzalez chops Tatanka down to the canvas and it doesn’t look good for Tatanka early on in the contest. Gonzalez delivers a big boot to keep his dominate offense going. However, Tatanka tries his best with several right hands and kicks. Tatanka hit a top rope overhand chop a few times. Gonzalez grabs Tatanka in midair and shoves the referee away. The referee calls for the bell as Gonzalez choke slams Tatanka. After the match, Gonzalez chokes Tatanka for a few moments and clears the referees out of the ring.

Final Thoughts:
It was a boring show as the featured bout was dull and the interview segment with Luger was just repetitive and lacked any depth to it. A bad follow up to a good episode last week.

Thanks for reading.
