World Wrestling Federation presents Superstars
Date: 6/19/1993
From: Halifax, Nova Scotia
Matches:
1.)The Smoking Gunns defeated Reno Riggins & Scott Taylor
2.)Virgil defeated Bastion Booger
3.)Tatanka defeated Mike Davis
4.)Lex Luger defeated Phil Apollo
5.)Crush defeated Joey Tempest
6.)Adam Bomb defeated Jerry Seavey
Angle Developments/Notes:
1. This marks the debut of Bastion Booger, who is an overweight wrestler who is a slob, basically. Virgil actually got a rare entrance, so he might have a fighting chance in this one. Virgil gets a two count early on following a cross body, which didn’t look all that good. Booger drives Virgil down to the mat with a big power slam but can’t keep him down long enough. Virgil gets Booger down with a crucifix pin and gets an upset victory. When you lose your debut to Virgil, you know your career is probably not on the up swing.
2. Mean Gene talked to Mr. Hughes and Harvey Wippleman. They are now in possession of the urn. They promoted a house show match with Bob Backlund. Hughes actually spoke, which surprised me. WWF World Tag Team Champions Money Inc. talked about their upcoming match with the Steiner Brothers at a house show. IRS says the M on their jackets stands for morons! DiBiase assures us that they will do whatever it takes to retain the titles.
Final Thoughts:
A bad show this week. Jesus, I mean it was just really boring. Your featured match is Booger/Virgil and the main interview segment was centered on Mr. Hughes. Nothing to see here, folks.
Thanks for reading.
