Angle Developments/Notes:
1. Vince, Randy and Lawler talk about Yokozuna body slam challenge tomorrow night. Lawler doubts anyone will slam Yokozuna while Savage believes it will happen.
2. Gorilla Monsoon hosts the WWF Update once again this week. WWF World Champion Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji cut a promo regarding the challenge. Fuji is confident that no one will be able to slam his Yokozuna. Yokozuna speaks again and says that everyone will go down July 4th.
3. Bret Hart comes out for a special interview with Bonnie Blackstone. She brings up the body slam challenge with Yokozuna. Hart doesn’t consider that the first priority on his mind. Instead, he thinks he can beat Yokozuna. He believes he would still be the WWF World Champion if it weren’t for Mr. Fuji. Hart turns his attention to Jerry Lawler who attacked him at the King of the Ring. Bret thinks that Lawler is the dairy queen. Bret promises everyone that he is going to destroy Jerry Lawler.
Final Thoughts:
An uneventful episode of Superstars this week. There wasn’t a featured match and the show mostly promoted the body slam challenge for the next day. The promo by Bret Hart on Jerry Lawler was a good one and sparked their feud moving forward. This episode gets a thumbs down from me, though.
Thanks for reading.
