From: Oakland, CA

3.)Dino Bravo defeated Bill Johnson
4.)The Hart Foundation defeated SD Jones & Brady Boone
5.)Don Muraco defeated Darryl Nichols
6.)The Rougeau Brothers defeated the Killer Bees
7.)Rick Rude defeated Jose Luis Rivera
Angle Developments/Notes:
1. Andre the Giant shared some comments during Duggan’s match. Giant rips a magazine showing that’s what he is going to Duggan when they meet in the ring.
2. Ken Patera shared comments during Bravo’s match. Patera says July 4th is important and he would like to celebrate it by beating Bravo in the ring.
3. Craig DeGeorge conducted an interview with the WWF Intercontinental Champion Honkytonk Man and Jimmy Hart this week. Jimmy says everyone knows that Honky is the greatest champion of all time. Honky believes he is a victim of a conspiracy. The company barred Jimmy from all the buildings and they took his girlfriend away from him! However, the WWF will never be able to take away his music. Honky is going to sing for them but Jimmy suggests he don’t sing because of his throat. Honky decides against doing it and leaves.
4. We get a featured match this week involving a tag team falling down the card a tag team rising up the ranks. Raymond and Brunzell kick off the match with neither man getting a long lasting offense. Blair tags in as does Jacques. Jacques takes Blair down but Blair turns around and hits a firemans carry. Jacques fakes a handshake with Brunzell and is nearly rolled up. Ray tags back in but doesn’t stay in long. Jacques clubs Blair from behind and they have control of the match as Ray kicks Blair in the midsection. Blair avoids a double dropkick and looks to make the tag to Brunzell. Brunzell gets the hot tag and goes to work on Jacques. Brunzell puts a sleeper on Jacques but Ray breaks that up. Brunzell dropkicks Jacques but Ray prevents a cover from being made. Jacques trips Blair and Ray nearly wins the match. The referee is distracted when Jacques hits a middle rope double axe handle and Ray gets the pin. (**. Not a bad match here, but it’s very obvious that the Rougeau Brothers are heels. It may have been fuzzy for a little while but they are insincere with their USA support and it’s showing. The fans are buying into it as well.)
Final Thoughts:
An average episode this week, which is perfectly fine. We are inching closer and closer to SummerSlam. None of the major angles were addressed this week, so there isn’t much to see here.
Thanks for reading.
