5.) The Rock N’ Roll Express defeated The Stud Stable in a number one contenders match

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) SMW Heavyweight Champion Dirty White Boy is very happy that the Nightstalker is revealed as the challenger against Tracy Smothers. He is convinced that Smothers will not be winning tonight to get the $5,000 bonus.

2.) Bob Caudle interviews the Rock N’ Roll Express about their match later tonight. It is a number one contenders match against the Stud Stable. Obviously, their mindset is to win the SMW Tag Team Championships and they aren’t going to be stopped.

3.) Bob Armstrong is back to deliver his ruling on various issues while he was in Japan. Bob doesn’t know how three guys can defend the tag titles. Armstrong reveals that Paul Orndorff is suspended indefinitely for piledriving the referee. We see footage of Kevin Sullivan going to therapy but it’s Sullivan drinking at a bar. The guy at the bar gives him a spike a Sullivan laughs saying he has always been the caretaker. Kevin says he has hired the best therapist since he isn’t broken. The therapist says it will take awhile to get Sullivan back on track. Sullivan says he never loses at any game he plays. That segment kind of humanized Sullivan since it was filmed at his home.

4.) Bob Caudle interviews Kevin Sullivan and the Nightstalker. Sullivan talks about hurting a guy named Tommy Star prior to his therapy sessions thanks to SMW. Kevin says that Tim Horner has nothing to worry about for him, but they should be worried about the Nightstalker. Nightstalker has three issues and that is Lee, Horner and now Tracy Smothers. He is hungry and he needs to be fed. That’s his tagline apparently.

5.) Dirty White Boy attacks Tracy Smothers with a steel chair during his entrance. White Boy sends Smothers into the ring post and hits a single arm DDT on the floor. Bob Armstrong says that Dirty White Boy is fine $1,000. Armstrong tells Smothers he will try and get the bonus, but Smothers is still going to compete.

6.) Nightstalker works over Smothers in the corner briefly but Smothers fires back with right hands. Smothers misses a leaping shoulder and hits the corner hard. Nightstalker focuses his attack on the injured shoulder. Nightstalker drives Smothers down with a shoulder breaker and tosses the champ to the floor. Smothers is sent shoulder first into the ring post. Nightstalker hits a slingshot clothesline from the apron back into the ring. Smothers fights back with an arm drag but Nightstalker regains control focusing on the shoulder some more. Nightstalker scoop slams Smothers but Tracy battles back with strikes. Nightstalker hits a snap power slam and taunts the fans. Nightstalker heads to the top rope but Smothers avoids a clothesline and Nightstalker crashes to the canvas. Smothers hits a couple of dropkicks to knock the big man down. Dirty White Boy comes out and distracts Smothers by cutting the Confederate flag! Nightstalker plants Smothers with a power bomb and gets the three count! Nightstlaker is the new champion and won $1,000. After the match, White Boy is ripping the flag up and enters the ring to attack Smothers. White Boy has handcuffs and cuffs Smothers to the top rope. White Boy has a trash can as Nightstlaker is holding the locker room door shut. White Boy puts the flag in the trash can and puts lighter fluid on the flag! White Boy pummels Smothers some more and lights the flag on fire! Tim Horner and the Rock N’ Roll Express finally come down to the ring to make the save. (**. An effective match and the aftermath was very good to continue the feud between Smothers and White Boy. I’m really looking forward to a singles match between them. Nightstalker may be a bad talker, but his look is one of a star in comparison to most SMW wrestlers.)

7.) Tracy Smothers tries to get in the ring to get his hands on Smothers but is stopped on the apron by his friends and White Boy got a few shots in as the referee called for the bell.

8.) Gibson and Fuller kick off the main event with some really good crowd reaction for this one. The Heavenly Bodies have come out with some popcorn and chairs to watch the match from ringside. Gibson decks Fuller with a few right hands. Gibson arm drags Golden as he tagged in and tags in Morton to work over Golden briefly. Morton takes Golden over with an arm drag and Gibson is tagged into the bout. Gibson nearly wins with an inside cradle on Golden. Fuller trips Gibson from the floor and Golden gets control hitting a backdrop. Gibson is double teamed as Morton got knocked off the apron. Golden takes Gibson over with a vertical suplex for a near fall. Fuller hits an overhead suplex to maintain control over Gibson. Gibson comes off the ropes to knock Fuller off his feet with a forearm strike. Morton gets the hot tag and he cleans house with right hands. Morton is sent into the ropes and is met with a double clothesline. Golden falls to the floor following a shoulder block and tosses popcorn at the Heavenly Bodies. Bobby Eaton tosses his drink into Golden’s eyes and Morton gets a rollup victory on the Stud Stable! (*1/2. Not a shocking outcome as the Express are the top act in the company. I just don’t want to get tired of an Express/Bodies feud. It was just a basic match with nothing too much going on.)

9.) The Stud Stable is interviewed to end the program. Robert Fuller is sick and tired of Jim Cornette and his grinning face. Fuller says that Cornette made the mistake signing his name on a contract to wrestle them in Johnson City. Fuller says that Cornette is paying his dues in the ring. Dutch Mantel chimes in and says he is going to knock Cornette out as well. Fuller suggests that Cornette say a prayer for his life because he is going to need it.

Final Thoughts:
Not a fan of Sullivan being humanized. His character is dark and too weird to tape a promo from his home. That segment just came across as doing more harm than good. The Smothers/White Boy feud is probably the most entertaining and interesting feud that is going on at the moment. SMW is really good at promoting their top feuds to make the fans want to see them. I’ll give the episode an overall thumbs up.
