Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Oddly enough, Mean Gene announces WWF World Champion Randy Savage defending against Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania V during an update segment. That would make me think that Savage thought about the defense and accepted it.

2.) Well, we’re supposed to get a match between the Rockers and the Brianbusters but that instead turns into a brawl in the ring and around ringside causing the match to be thrown out before it even started. Marty Jannetty and Tully Blanchard brawl towards the back but Marty runs back into the ring as Bobby Heenan got a few shots in on Shawn Michaels. The Rokcers hit a double dropkick to knock Anderson to the floor. Blanchard runs back to the ring and continues the brawl.

3.) Ted DiBiase is back at the jewelry store and demands to see the progress for his championship belt. There are several workers who are working on diamonds for the championship. DiBiase wants more than 500 stones for his centerpiece. Ted wants everything in gold for the championship. DiBiase always gets what he wants and lets out his trademark laugh.

4.) WWF World Champion Randy Savage cuts a promo saying that he should have known from the beginning that Hogan was all about Elizabeth. Hogan had said, “we are fighting for the same woman” and that “she’s my woman too”, and Savage swallowed his pride upon hearing that. Savage believes that Hogan always steals his spotlight. Savage calls Hogan’s idea for SummerSlam to be a stupid idea. Savage says that behind his back at SummerSlam that Hogan went behind his back and showed lust for Elizabeth by putting his hand on Elizabeth’s butt while she was on Savage’s shoulder. Savage says that Hogan isn’t taking anything that is his at WrestleMania V. Hogan will not win the championship and he won’t get Elizabeth. Savage knows the strength and weaknesses that Hogan have. Savage will not be denied!

5.) Brother Love has special guests this week who are Bobby Heenan and Rick Rude. Love gives props Rude for winning the showdown against the Ultimate Warrior. Rude will be challenging Warrior at WrestleMania V for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Rude prevailed because he loved his body, but also because the ladies love the way he moves his body. Rude will step into the ring and he will defeat Warrior to become the new WWF Intercontinental Champion, and will show that Warrior should be behind him. Rude turns around and Warrior’s face has been painted on the backside of his tights.

6.) Hulk Hogan shares his thoughts on Randy Savage. Hogan remembers the time when Savage praised him for being a great guy. Hogan shows the unedited footage that is showing Savage is just crazy and believes he is right. Savage was all aboard on the secret weapon with Elizabeth. Hogan is sick to his stomach that Savage would edit footage to make him look bad. Hogan might have had lust in his eye because he wanted to be on Randy’s other shoulder. So, he was jealous of Elizabeth? When they collide it will be the greatest natural disaster of all time.

Final Thoughts:
Savage plays his role so incredibly well, I can’t possibly give him enough credit. The Rockers/Brainbuster segment was nicely done and it makes sense why they worked the house shows for so long. Again, a fine episode that advanced the top feuds for Mania rather nicely.

Thanks for reading.
