Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) After a reminder of what happened at the Main Event, Hulk Hogan was interviewed where he says he feels like he has been betrayed by the WWF World Champion Randy Savage. Hogan claims that he allowed the little things to go. Hogan loves Savage like a brother. He knew they could regroup from everything. Hogan says being laid out with the championship and saying he isn’t a brother to Savage, that crossed the line. He never wanted what Savage had in regard to Elizabeth. The only thing Savage wants is the WWF World Championship, which is something Savage doesn’t deserve. He is going to take back what is his since he was never defeated for it.
2.) Bret Hart shared some pre-tape comments during Honky’s match. Bret says the next time they meet it will be face to face and they will have a different outcome.
3.) Ted DiBiase and Virgil are going on a shopping spree. DiBiase is in a limo driving through Greenwich, CT the most expense place to live in America. They enter a jewelry store where DiBiase says he isn’t interested in any jewelry. He asks for a specific person and he is very interested in helping DiBiase. DiBiase wants the man to design something of his stature. DiBiase wants a Million Dollar Belt to be created for him. He wants gold and diamond and to not spare any expense. He can make it and DiBiase can afford it.
4.) Brother Love has special guests again this week with Bobby Heenan and the Brooklyn Brawler. Heenan puts over Brawler as a street fighter who has never lost a street fight. Heenan claims he was stabbed in the back by Red Rooster. Brawler chimes in and says that Rooster got away the first time but next time he is going to pluck his feathers. Brawler is confident that Rooster would last about a New York second when they square off in the ring.
5.) WWF World Champion Randy Savage is interviewed by Jesse Ventura. Savage says that Hogan killed the momentum of the Mega Powers. Savage knows that Hogan has lust in his eyes for Elizabeth. Savage says that Hogan has his back against the wall by saying he is confident enough to challenge for the gold. Savage says he is going to think about putting the WWF World Championship on the line at WrestleMania V.
Final Thoughts:
Some good developments for the Hogan/Savage showdown at WrestleMania, and I enjoyed the DiBiase segment to create his own championship. I like the focus on advancing things and not overcrowding the program when it’s not needed.
Thanks for reading.
