2.) Gangrel defeated Crash Holly
3.) WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Dean Malenko defeated Big Bossman
4.) WWF Women’s Champion Lita & Hardy Boys defeated D’Lo Brown, Chaz & Ivory

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Backstage, Terri was with Perry Saturn earlier in the day and told Saturn to protect her and not let anyone hurt her.

2.) Blackman sends Saturn into the ring steps back first and grabs a few trash can lids. Blackman sends the trash cans into the ring. Saturn sends Blackman into the railing, but Blackman backdrops Saturn into the crowd. They trade strikes in the crowd. Saturn superkicks Blackman over the railing to the ringside area. Saturn leaps off the railing to hit a clothesline. Saturn springboards off the ropes to hit a moonsualt on Blackman. Blackman uses the trash can lid on Saturn a few times. Blackman decks Saturn across the back of the head, but Saturn uses the lid to kick out at two. Saturn works over Blackman with strikes and stomps in the corner. Saturn hits a jackhammer and taunts the crowd. What the hell, Blackman swings the trash can and nails Saturn several times off the ropes. Blackman has his sticks, but Terri enters the ring and tries to get on Blackman’s back. Blackman counters and spanks Terri. Saturn catches Terri, but gets a superkick and Blackman pins Saturn to win the match. (*. I feel like Saturn should be doing much more than useless hardcore wrestling matches. There were a few repeated spots from last week and was mostly disappointing.)

3.) Earlier today, the Kat walked up to Crash Holly and said that he’s cute. Kat thinks that Crash isn’t “little where it counts”. Bossman enters the scene and says that Crash might get his first kiss tonight. Bossman nails Crash with a nightstick shot to the midsection before walking off.

4.) Crash hammers away on Gangrel in the corner. Holly avoids a press slam and beats on Gangrel with strikes. Holly gets a rollup out of the corner for a two count. Gangrel takes Holly over with a back suplex. Gangrel hits another back suplex. Gangrel keeps control of the match, but Holly nearly wins with a rollup. Gangrel clotheslines Holly and taunts the crowd. Gangrel drops Holly throat first over the top rope. Gangrel chokes Holly for a few moments leading to a near fall. Gangrel chokes Holly over the middle rope and on the apron. Holly comes off the ropes and stops Gangrel with a clothesline. Holly fires back with right hands and a back elbow. Holly clotheslines Gangrel before going to the top rope and hits a missile dropkick for a two count. Big Bossman runs down to the ring and trips Holly. Gangrel elbow drops Holly and earns the win. After the match, Dean Malenko runs down and saves Holly from any further attack. (1/2*. I didn’t care for this and I’m not entirely sure why the feud with Bossman and Holly continues to go on.)

5.) Backstage, D’Lo Brown and Chaz are talking about not wanting to be the man who ran over Steve Austin. Ivory comes in and says they are on TV tonight teaming with her against the Hardy Boys and Lita. Ivory says she’s been waving a scarf around. Brown has been wobbling his head around and Chaz had fishnets on. They are determined to show they are great.

6.) Chris Benoit makes his way down to the ring for a promo segment. Benoit says there has never been a question about his ability or intensity. Benoit knows he’s the best damn wrestler today. Benoit didn’t come here to entertain them or complain. He’s going to be the next WWF World Champion whether they like it or not. Benoit promises that Rock will be drinking soup through a straw. Benoit is going to send Rock to the hospital. Benoit is confident that he’s arm will be raised and he’ll be the next champion. Benoit knows that Rock will not prove him wrong.

7.) Backstage, WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Dean Malenko is interviewed and says he wasn’t even here for when Austin got ran over. Malenko doesn’t think that Crash Holly did it either. Malenko considers Holly to be a pet project and could be a big deal. Malenko is focused on Big Bossman tonight, though.

8.) Bossman starts off with strikes and a big boot to drop Malenko to the mat. Bossman follows up with right hands and a knee strike. Bossman gouges Malenko’s eyes over the middle rope. Bossman drops Malenko to the mat back first. Bossman tries for a slam, but Malenko lands on top for a two count. Bossman decks Malenko with a strike. Bossman sends Malenko into the corner several times. Bossman drops Malenko with an uppercut. Bossman continues to work over Malenko with right hands in the corner. Bossman hip tosses Malenko out of the corner. Malenko fights back with a few strikes, but Bossman beats on Malenko with right hands. Bossman stops Malenko with a right hand in the corner. Malenko ducks a clothesline and tries for a crossbody, but Bossman delivers a backbreaker. Crash Holly comes down to the ringside area. Holly nails Bossman with the nightstick and Malenko wins the match with a rollup. After the match, Bossman decks Malenko and big boots Holly. Bossman has the nightstick and beats on both men. (*. There were a few confusing parts in this match as I’m not sure how Malenko would counter power moves considering his size. The partnership of Holly and Malenko continues to be confusing.)

9.) Chaz hammers away on Matt to kickoff the six person tag main event. Matt ducks a clothesline and decks Chaz with a spinning right hand. Matt runs into a boot in the corner and Chaz threatens Lita in the corner. Matt comes off the ropes and is driven down to the mat chest first. Brown slams Matt, but misses an elbow drop attempt. Brown decks Jeff off the apron. Lita comes off the top and is caught by Brown managing to hit a powerslam. Ivory enters the match and nearly pins Lita. Ivory works over Lita with stomps and hits a sit out Death Valley Driver for a near fall. Hardy’s enter the ring and brawl with D’Lo and Chaz. Matt sends Ivory into Chaz and Lita hits Poetry in Motion. D’Lo plants Jeff with the Sky High. Chaz drops Matt over his knee for a gut buster. Lita hammers away on Ivory after a spear. Chaz and Brown grab Lita by her hair. Hardy’s enter and triple clothesline D’Lo and Chaz. Lita hits a top rope hurricanrana. Jeff takes Brown out with a somersault dive to the floor. Lita kicks Ivory and connects with the Twist of Fate. Lita heads to the top rope managing to hit a moonsault for the win. (*1/2. I was digging the idea that D’Lo and Chaz were going to get a huge upset win, but I should have known better. The match was okay and I prefer Lita getting the win over Ivory.)

Final Thoughts:
The last couple of Heat episodes haven’t been all the enjoyable, which never happens for me while watching Heat. Hopefully they put a better focus on Heat in the coming weeks.

Thanks for reading.
