Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Gorilla and Bobby talk about Sid turning on Hogan and how Sid only cares about himself. They spend the first several minutes of the show highlighting the issue between Sid and Hogan.

2.) Lord Alfred Hayes hosts Special Report. Hayes reads a statement by WWF President Jack Tunney. Tunney says there will be two main events at WrestleMania VIII to address the favoritism claims by Sid. Now, it will be WWF World Champion Ric Flair defending against Randy Savage. Sid will now wrestle Hulk Hogan. Hayes says that Jack Tunney will be naming a special referee for the Sid vs. Hogan match, which will be revealed next week.

3.) Mean Gene hosts the WrestleMania VIII Report. Sid shares some comments saying that this all started at SummerSlam 1991 where he saw the jealously from Hogan. Sid believes he’s stronger than Hogan. Hogan took the easy way out by going after Flair. Sid wants Hogan to go to Beefcake how it feels to be a fox trapped and nowhere to go because Sid is the hunter. Hulk Hogan also shares some comments in a room with an echo. Hogan knows this is just another obstacle by Tunney to prevent him from getting the WWF World Championship. Hogan is going to show how to make a negative into a positive. Hogan says that Sid is just a big kid with a big mouth. Hogan says that Sid crossed the line going after Beefcake. Hogan knows that Sid was trying to end Beefcake’s life. Hogan says that Sid will feel the power of 75,000 people at Mania VIII.

4.) WWF World Champion Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect also share comments. Perfect says that Tunney’s decisions do not sit well with them. Perfect tells Savage to not let this pass him by. Flair didn’t like Tunney trying to tarnish his creditability. Flair knows that Savage is one of the best wrestlers in WWF history. Flair is the man of the hour and teases that they know something he doesn’t. Savage also shared comments saying that Flair needs to just say whatever he needs to say. Savage questions if Flair has the guts. Savage is coming for something that Flair has and he’s better than Flair.

Final Thoughts:
The switch of the main event at Mania is a major one. It had been announced on Superstars, as well the day before. Savage challenging Flair will likely be a better match than Flair/Hogan, but it just seems a little baffling that the dream match between Hogan/Flair doesn’t happen on the biggest stage. Overall, there’s not much going on here, but the switch and promos by the men involved made this a worthwhile episode.

Thanks for reading.
