WWF Wrestling Challenge 3/22/1992

World Wrestling Federation presents Wrestling Challenge
Date:
3/22/1992
From: West Palm Beach, FL

Matches:
1.) Davey Boy Smith defeated Bill Badd
2.) Papa Shango defeated Danny Kamo
3.) Big Bossman defeated Lee Armstrong
4.) Bret Hart defeated Dale Wolfe
5.) Repo Man defeated Terry Davis
6.) Sid Justice defeated Dennis Bunt

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) The Berzerker and Mr. Fuji cut a pre-tape promo during Smith’s match. Berzerker says that a tan isn’t going to help the British Bulldog when he throws Bulldog over the top rope at the Hoosier Dome.

2.) Sid Justice cuts a promo about Virgil complaining about his broken nose suffered on Superstars recently. Justice has no compassion for any living soul. Justice brings up Hogan and says that Hogan is spreading the rumor that his final match is at WrestleMania VIII. Justice is the man that was making that a reality anyway because he rules the world.

3.) Mean Gene meets with WWF World Champion Ric Flair on his boat. Gene is impressed by the boat. Mr. Perfect is there with Flair, of course. Gene notes that Savage has denied the claims by Flair about the photos. Flair asks if pictures lie and says that Savage is trying to buy every copy of the magazine. Flair shows more photos. Flair calls Elizabeth damaged goods. Flair promises that Savage will be damaged goods at WrestleMania VIII, too.

4.) WWF Intercontinental Champion Roddy Piper delivers a pre-tape promo during Hart’s match. Piper can be nice or a jerk. Piper says pink stinks and that the ball is in Hart’s court.

5.) Hulk Hogan cuts a promo saying he’s been around the block a few times. Hogan says Justice isn’t the first big man to ruffle his feathers. Hogan doesn’t like what Justice did to Virgil. Hogan has heard the rumors about his final match for years. Hogan promises to wrestle the match as if it is his last match.

6.) Randy Savage cuts a promo saying that Flair is lying and trying to ruin Elizabeth’s reputation. Savage promises that Flair will pay at the Hoosier Dome. Savage finishes off by saying that Flair will face the truth.

7.) Jake Roberts says that the test of time doesn’t lie. Roberts believes Undertaker made a horrible mistake standing up to him. Paul Bearer also cuts a promo saying that Roberts will experience a tombstone. Undertaker chimes in and says that Roberts soul is next.

8.) During Sid’s match, many fans shared their opinions, and they all believed Hogan would win at WrestleMania VIII.

Final Thoughts:
As we inch closer to WrestleMania VIII, there haven’t been any monumental developments for the event. I think the build for Mania has been overall effective and I’m certainly invested in the Flair/Savage title program. The build for Piper/Hart is a lot better than I ever realized it was.
