Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Kid gets control with a wrist lock for the early advantage on Kwik. Kwik kips up quickly and counters with a headlock. Kwik ducks a forearm strike, but Kid plants Kwik with a powerbomb. Kid stomps on Kwik a few times to maintain the advantage. Kwik delivers a few right hands, but Kid stops Kwik with a strike and a dropkick for a two count. Kid pulls back on Kwik’s arms with his knee wedges between Kwik’s shoulders. Kwik backslides Kid for a two count. Kwik comes off the ropes, but is met with a powerslam for a two count. Kid controls Kwik in the corner with a choke. Kwik pulls himself up to the top rope and hits a missile dropkick. Kwik ducks a strike and hammers away on Kid followed by a discus strike. Kwik nails Kid with a another forearm strike. Kwik head scissors Kid to the mat and kips up again. Kwik avoids Kid in the corner and hits a heel kick for a two count. Kwik hits a sit out front suplex for the win. (*1/2. The crowd was mostly lifeless for this one, which makes me wonder if Kwik doesn’t connect with the audience. Kwik has noticeable agility and can deliver some entertaining moves throughout his matches.)
2.) Albert decks Bell with a clothesline to start the match and tosses Bell over the top to the floor. Bell drops Albert over the top rope and tries for a clothesline, but Albert nails Bell with a bicycle kick. Albert goes to the floor and chokes Bell over the bottom rope. Albert catapults Bell throat first into the middle rope. Albert nails Bell with another headbutt. Albert continues with a double under hook suplex, but pulls Bell up on the cover attempt. Albert drops Bell with another strike. Albert slams Bell, but misses an elbow drop. Albert misses a splash in the corner. Bell punches Albert followed by a kick to send Albert into the corner. Albert tosses Bell away, but Bell comes back with a few strikes. Albert hits a big splash in the corner. Albert finishes Bell off with the Baldo Bomb for the win. (*1/2. Bell didn’t get much here, which isn’t a surprise if they are slowly building Albert up as a monster heel at some point. I can get behind it for Albert.)
3.) Crash controls Ki with a headlock to start the match. Ki counters a waist lock, but Crash gets a headlock quickly. Ki knee strikes Crash in the corner, but misses a splash. Crash takes Ki down with another headlock. Crash puts a modified double arm submission. Ki tries for a backslide, but Crash nails Ki with a neckbreaker for a two count. Ki backs Crash into a corner and delivers a few strikes. Crash pummels Ki with strikes for a moment. Crash boot a charging Ki in the corner, but misses a clothesline. Ki delivers a kick and sends Crash into the corner to hit a handspring kick for a two count. Crash manages a two count with a rollup. Ki puts a sleeper on Crash. Crash stops Ki with a jawbreaker. Crash elbows Ki followed by a few clotheslines. Ki drop toe holds Crash into the corner and goes to the middle rope to try for a tornado DDT, but Crash counters and hits a bulldog out of the corner for the win. (**. Ki impressed the crowd with a couple of his stiff looking kicks, and the match was a bit more competitive than than others.)
4.) Prior to the main event, Right To Censor try to respond to the voiceover work over Taka and Funaki, but their microphones don’t work and the voiceover speaks for them. It’s clearly Bruce Prichard doing the voiceover work.
5.) Goodfather and Buchanan attack on the floor before getting in the ring. Goodfather big boots Taka and Buchanan tosses Funaki to the floor. Goodfather grabs Taka on the apron, but Taka drops Goodfather over the top rope. Funaki tags in and dropkicks Goodfather. Taka nails Goodfather with a dropkick while Goodfather was in a chinlock by Funaki. Goodfather avoids a slam by Funaki and delivers an overhand strike. Funaki is met with a double shoulder block. Buchanan decks Funaki with a strike and a backbreaker. Goodfather returns to the ring and tosses Funaki across the ring with a hip toss. Goodfather chokes Funaki over the top rope. Buchanan tags into the match and tosses Funaki into a corner to deliver strikes. Buchanan misses a spear in the corner. Taka tags into the match and strikes Buchanan several times. Buchanan stops Taka with a clothesline as all four men are in the ring now. Taka and Funaki are sent into the same corner. Goodfather hits a running big splash. Buchanan hits Taka with a scissors kick to win the match. (*1/2. RTC are clearly on their last legs. There wasn’t much to this, really.)
Final Thoughts:
Kind of another lackluster episode for Metal. Low Ki did okay in his match with Crash and was the only enhancement guy to garner a reaction from the crowd. Albert likely needs a repackaging, but could be an interesting choice for a monster heel push at some point.
Thanks for reading.
