Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Jim Ross is the host this week and lets us know what we’ll see on the program. The main event tonight will see Sting team up with Marcus Alexander Bagwell against WCW Tag Team Champion Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko.

2.) Eaton backs Rhodes into a corner to kickoff the match and decks Rhodes with a right hand. Eaton plays to Madusa on the floor, but gets decked by Rhodes for doing so. Eaton backs Rhodes into the corner again and slaps Rhodes followed by an eye rake. Eaton runs the ropes, but is monkey flipped by Rhodes and is met with an elbow strike. Rhodes gets wrist control on Eaton followed by a kick to the ribs and strikes Eaton over the shoulder. Eaton breaks out of an arm hold and strikes Rhodes in the corner. Eaton blocks a hip toss attempt with a strike. Rhodes backdrops Eaton coming off the ropes followed by a clothesline for a two count. Rhodes puts an arm hold on Eaton in the middle of the ring. Rhodes keeps arm control on Eaton for a few moments. Rhodes elbows Eaton over the shoulder and keeps Eaton on the mat to deliver knee drops. Rhodes gets position for a rollup attempt, but can’t get Eaton’s shoulders down. Rhodes is backed against the ropes and slapped by Eaton. They trade strikes with Rhodes getting the advantage. Rhodes misses a clothesline and goes over the top to the floor. Eaton jabs Rhodes in the face with a chair shot. Eaton pulls Rhodes to the apron and drops Rhodes throat first over the top rope. Madusa kicks Rhodes as Eaton distracted the referee. Rhodes walks around ringside, but Eaton chop blocks Rhodes from behind. Eaton drives Rhodes into the railing chest first. Eaton snapmares Rhodes and puts a head scissors on Rhodes to keep control. Rhodes breaks free and they collide in the middle of the ring. Eaton tries for a cover, but Rhodes kicks out at two. Eaton hits a swinging neckbreaker and heads to the top rope. Eaton leaps off the top hitting an elbow drop. Eaton slaps Rhodes on the mat and Dangerously tells Eaton to hurt Rhodes. Rhodes nearly wins with an inside cradle. Eaton kicks Rhodes, but Rhodes holds the ropes to avoid a swinging neckbreaker. Rhodes hits a running bulldog and pins Eaton for the win. After the match, Larry Zbyszko attacks Rhodes hitting a brainbuster and stomps Rhode son the mat. Eaton hits Rhodes with Dangerously’s phone. (**. I’m not sure why Eaton wouldn’t have just hit the Alabama Jam instead of the elbow drop off the top. From a story aspect, it didn’t make a ton of sense to me. But, I thought this was a fine TV match. WCW tends to do it right in this era by giving clean finishes and have the attack come afterward.)

3.) Jesse Ventura is back again saying he’ll be back on commentary at Superbrawl II. Ventura promotes the tag title match between the Steiner Brothers and WCW Tag Team Champions Arn Anderson and Bobby Eaton. Ventura thinks there needs to be an investigation because he doubts Rick Steiner could have graduated.

4.) Simmons and Vader kickoff the six man tag match. They lockup, but neither man gets a clear advantage. They shove each other away and have a standoff. Vader wants to have a football stance with Simmons since they are both former football players. Vader clubs Simmons over the back and delivers a body strike. Vader clubs Simmons in the corner with several strikes. Vader splashes Simmons in the corner and taunts the crowd. Vader sends Simmons across the ring and is met with a kick. Simmons leaps off the middle rope to shoulder block Vader and delivers another shoulder block. Simmons slams Vader before tagging in Hammer. Hammer kicks Vader and gains wrist control, but Vader strikes free and tags in Taylor. Taylor strikes Hammer, but Hammer connects with a facebuster. Hammer scoop slams Taylor for a two count. Hammer puts a headlock on Taylor. Cactus tags into the match and has a standoff with Hammer. Hammer tags out to Gigante. Gigante locks up with Cactus and hits a splash in the corner. Gigante clubs Jack over the back and sends Cactus into the ropes putting a claw on Cactus. Gigante catches Taylor coming off the ropes and tosses Taylor down. Gigante delivers a double clothesline and continues to beat on Cactus in the corner.

Gigante puts a headlock on Cactus, but tags in Simmons. Simmons puts a headlock on Cactus to keep control of the bout. Taylor knee lifts Simmons from the apron and Cactus clotheslines himself and Simmons over the top to the floor. Taylor grabs Simmons and delivers a scoop slam on the floor. Vader strikes Simmons and clotheslines Simmons coming off the ropes. Vader hits a splash on Simmons for a two count. Taylor controls Simmons with strikes and tries for a suplex, but Simmons counters hitting a suplex. Cactus and Hammer get tagged in and Hammer hammers Cactus in the corner. Hammer leaps off the middle rope, but is met with a clothesline in midair. Hammer drops Cactus with a back suplex. Hammer strikes Cactus and rams him into Taylor. Gigante and Vader brawl leading to everyone getting in the ring. Gigante and Vader go to the floor as Hammer hit a slingshot suplex on Taylor. Jack leaps off the middle rope to forearm drop Hammer leading to the three count. (**. I was not expecting the heel team to win and certainly wasn’t expecting Cactus to earn the pin for his team. If anything, I thought Vader would win the match if the heels won.)

5.) Jim Ross talks about a recent interaction between Big Josh and Vinnie Vegas, which saw Vegas punching Josh during an interview with Ross. Harley Race got in on the attack, too.

6.) Vinnie Vegas wins his enhancement match following Snake Eyes onto the top turnbuckle.

7.) Missy Does The Mail hosted by Missy Hyatt is up next. Hyatt talks about the Young Pistols losing the WCW US Tag Team Championships to Ron Simmons and Big Josh recently. We see footage of the title change. Josh pinned Smothers after a sit down splash. Hyatt notes they are the shortest lived tag champs ever. Hyatt makes a joke about Big Josh having issues with Vinnie Vegas using some Las Vegas references.

8.) Sting and Anderson kickoff the tag team main event. Sting avoids Anderson until they lockup and Anderson gains control with left hand strikes. Anderson snapmares Sting and climbs the top, but Sting stops Anderson and dropkicks Anderson to the floor. Anderson takes Sting down and Sting kips up. Sting press slams Anderson coming off the ropes. Zbyszko tags into the match. Zbyszko gets a top wrist lock on Sting for a moment. Sting bridges up out of the hold. Anderson tries to help, but they both get arm dragged. Bagwell decks Zbyszko from the apron. Sting tags out to Bagwell. Zbyszko sits Bagwell on the top turnbuckle, but Bagwell manages to hip toss Zbyszko and Anderson. Bagwell dropkicks both men. Zbyszko strikes Bagwell, but Bagwell atomic drops Zbyszko. Anderson holds Bagwell to allow a kick by Zbyszko and Anderson spikes Bagwell with a DDT. Anderson claims intelligence for the advantage. Anderson clubs Bagwell over the back and snapmares Bagwell followed by a knee drop. Zbyszko stomps Bagwell on the mat a few times. Zbyszko scoop slams Bagwell and boot scrapes Bagwell. Zbyszko drops Bagwell with a neckbreaker. Anderson enters and strikes Bagwell against the ropes. Bagwell boots Anderson and both men are down.

Bagwell tries to tag in Sting, but is stopped by Anderson. Bagwell is stopped by an Anderson forearm. Anderson tries for a slam, but Bagwell lands on top for a two count. Bagwell gets an inside cradle, but Anderson breaks free. Sting gets the tag, but the referee didn’t see it. Sting cleans house with strikes. Sting stomps Zbyszko as Bagwell has a rollup on Anderson, but Dangerously whacks Bagwell with his phone allowing Anderson to pin Bagwell for the win. (*1/2. Well, there wasn’t much action here and the majority of the match was Bagwell working from behind. Bagwell as the young rookie is actually growing on me and I think he’s coming across as a good white meat babyface. This loss doesn’t impact Sting since he didn’t directly lose, but it adds to the Dangerous Alliance for beating Sting in a tag format. I just wish there was more action.)

Final Thoughts:
I’d consider this an average episode at best, but not one worth watching. There’s plenty of star power so it was a quick watch and there wasn’t anything boring. A skippable episode, though.
