Footage from last weeks show where 1-2-3 Kid joined the announcers to call the Marty Jannetty/Johnny Polo match-up. IRS was on commentary and attacked 1-2-3 Kid when Kid alleged that IRS had Razor Ramon’s jewelry in his briefcase. On tonight’s edition, Marty Jannetty will face Irwin R. Schyster.

RAW Opening Video

Vince McMahon and Bastion Booger are on commentary. McMahon goes over what will be on the show. Spark Plugg will debut, Owen Hart and Crush will all be in action.

Opening Contest: Smoking Gunns defeated Barry Horowitz/Reno Riggins: Riggins works on Billy early on and double teams Billy with Horowitz in the corner. Billy fights out of the corner, and goes to tag Bart, but Bart simply dives off the top connecting with a cross body on both Horowitz and Riggins. Bart drops Reno with a delayed vertical suplex. Bart has Reno set up for a modified backbreaker and tags in Billy who leaps off the top and drops onto Reno to pick up the win.

Footage from the 1994 Royal Rumble where Owen Hart turned on his already injured brother Bret Hart. Footage from All American Wrestling where Owen Hart says that when he kicked Bret on the knee it felt really good. Owen will never forget the feeling of having the belts taken away from him. Bret Hart was on All American Wrestling “yesterday”. Bret says that he doesn’t know if he can forgive himself or Owen. Bret realizes that he will have to do something about this situation. Bret finally agrees that he will fight his brother.

Second Contest: Owen Hart defeated John Paul: Owen goes to the floor to give his sun glasses to a kid, but instead rips them apart in front of the kid. “We Want Bret” chant starts up. Owen works on Paul with several knees and chops. Owen continues with a backbreaker, dropkick, snap suplex and a leaping leg drop. Owen connects with a spinning heel kick but pulls Paul up at the count of two. Several uppercuts by Owen and nails Paul with a leaping kick to the back of Paul’s head. Owen avoids a dropkick and locks in the Sharpshooter and wins the match.

Commercial Break

Vince McMahon and the pizza eating Bastion Booger talk about the Undertaker. Booger acts like he is choking on pizza.

Paul Bearer is at the graveyard and cuts a promo saying that the Undertaker will surely return to the WWF. While Bearer is talking, it appears that the Undertaker was walking behind Paul Bearer and Bearer didn’t know it. Bearer is convinced that the Undertaker “will rise again!”

Third Contest: Irwin R. Schyster defeated Marty Jannetty: IRS rips on the crowd by calling them all tax cheats. IRS works on Jannetty early on with right hands but is taken down by Jannetty with a couple of dropkicks and a scoop slam. Jannetty with a leaping back elbow that sends IRS to the floor. Jannetty with a headlock and hammerlock to slow the match down. IRS is sent to the floor and is rammed head first into the apron. Jannetty goes to send IRS into the ring post, but IRS sends Jannetty rib first into the ring post. Before the commercial break, the Quebecers make their way down to the ring to watch the contest. During the commercial, the Quebecers attacked Jannetty on the floor while the referee was distracted by IRS. Quebecers were ejected from ringside by another official. IRS leaps off the top looking for a elbow drop but Jannetty gets his boot up and nearly wins with a inside cradle. IRS manages to keep control after avoiding a elbow off the ropes. Jannetty with a jaw breaker to stop IRS’s offense. Jannetty with a power slam and delivers a super kick. Johnny Polo makes his way down to ringside. Jannetty connects with a face plant, and we see Razor Ramon making his way down to the ringside area. Jannetty connects with a running clothesline but only gets a near fall. The Quebecers come back out to corner Razor Ramon. Jannetty attempts to leap back into the ring, but Polo trips him up and Jannetty crashes into the ring and IRS is able to pick up the win. *1/4
After the match, Razor Ramon and Marty Jannetty brawl with the Quebecers. Ramon connects with the Razor’s Edge on Jacque.

Vince McMahon says that Razor Ramon and Marty Jannetty have demanded a WWF World Tag Team Title shot in two weeks on RAW. McMahon mentions that RAW will not be on next week because USA will be showing a dog show.

Fourth Contest: Spark Plugg defeated Duane Gill: This is Plugg’s debut for the WWF. Plugg with several hip tosses and a savant kick. Plugg slingshots Gill from the apron back into the ring. Plugg with a good looking dropkick. Plugg dominates a good portion of the contest. Plugg with various slams and connects with a top rope knee drop for the easy win.

Wrestle Mania X Report with Todd Pettengill. Footage from last weeks coin toss on RAW with Lex Luger winning the coin toss to face Yokozuna first.

Bret Hart versus Yokozuna or Lex Luger for the WWF World Championship
Jim Cornette, Mr. Fuji and Yokozuna cut a brief promo. Cornette is not concerned about Yokozuna losing the championship belt. Cornette does not want to face Lex Luger because Luger is a cheater.
Todd also mentions that each WWF World Championship match will have a special referee. Todd goes over another newly added match:
Randy Savage versus Crush in a Falls Count Anywhere match

Main Event: Crush defeated Blair Thornberg: Crush controls Thorn with a head butt and a chop. Crush works on the shoulder of Blair. Crush with a gorilla press slam and connects with a leg drop to pick up the win.

Vince McMahon announces that the Quebecers will defend the WWF World Tag Team Championships against Razor Ramon and Marty Jannetty in two weeks time on RAW.

Commercial Break

The Quebecers and Johnny Polo are backstage pissed off that they must defend the tag team titles in two weeks. Polo believes that this is a conspiracy against the Quebecers. Pierre punches a hole in the wall.

Commercial Break

Vince McMahon goes over what will be on RAW in two weeks. Bret Hart will be in action against one of the Heavenly Bodies. The Quebecers will defend the WWF World Tag Team Championships against Razor Ramon and Marty Jannetty.

My Take: The opening contest wasn’t that bad for a squash match because it was fairly competitive. IRS/Jannetty was fairly boring because IRS’s style doesn’t go that well with the fast pace of Jannetty. The brawl afterwards was slightly entertaining, though. Bastion Booger wasn’t that bad on commentary.
