Opening Contest: Shawn Michaels defeated the British Bulldog:
Michaels gets the early advantage with a wristlock but Bulldog comes off the ropes with a few shoulder blocks. Bulldog delivers an atomic drop and sends Michaels over the top rope to the floor after sending him into a corner. While on the floor, Sid helps Michaels up and Michaels regains his composure. Michaels tires to get back into the ring but is knocked off the apron a couple of times by Bulldog. Michaels pulls Bulldog down and slams his knee against the ring apron. Michaels misses a shoulder block in the corner and Bulldog hip tosses Michaels a couple times before sending Michaels over the top to the floor with a clothesline. On the floor, Sid helps Michaels to his feet again and yells at the referee. Bulldog takes Michaels to the mat with a headlock for a few moments. Michaels gets out of the hold and puts a head scissors on Bulldog. Bulldog nearly rolls Michaels up for the win but Michaels regains control of the hold. Bulldog lifts Michaels up with one arm and slams Michaels to the mat. Bulldog sends Michaels hard back first into the corner a few times. Bulldog puts the surfboard on Michaels but lets go. Michaels gets up and hits Bulldog with a right hand but Bulldog recovers to lock in a headlock. Bulldog backdrops Michaels over the top but Sid catches Michaels and puts him on the apron. Michaels leaps over the top rope with a splash for a two count. Bulldog fights back with a delayed vertical suplex for a two count! Michaels pulls Bulldog’s trunks and sends him to the floor where Bulldog holds his knee. Michaels stomps away on Bulldog back in the ring and sends Bulldog into a corner. Michaels tries for a cover but Bulldog kicks out at two. Michaels stops Bulldog with a knee lift to the midsection but isn’t able to get a three count on the cover. Michaels scoop slams Bulldog and leaps off the middle rope hitting an elbow drop but Bulldog pops his shoulder up at two! Michaels puts a sleeper hold on Bulldog but Sid pulls the rope away from Bulldog behind the referees back! Bulldog prevents his arm from dropping a third time and breaks the hold with a back suplex as RAW goes to commercial. Bulldog runs the ropes and collides heads with Michaels. Michaels backs Bulldog into a corner and works on Bulldog with several shots. Michaels misses a spear in the corner and hits the ring post shoulder first! Bulldog clotheslines Michaels several times before taunting Sid and gets a two count on Michaels! Bulldog drops Michaels groin first on the top rope and wiggles the top rope! Michaels flips in the corner after being sent into the corner by Bulldog. Bulldog gets a near fall following a head butt. Bulldog misses a running attack and falls to the floor. Sid stalks towards Bulldog on the floor but doesn’t do anything. Michaels distracts the referee and Sid ends up knee lifting Bulldog head first into the ring post! Michaels tries an inside cradle but Bulldog kicks out at two. Bulldog gets up and is met with a super kick by Michaels, which is good enough for the win. (***1/2. A very good contest here by two men who have worked with each other in the past. Bulldog was still made out to look pretty good, and Michaels bumped well for him. It was a very strong win for Michaels as he marches on towards WrestleMania XI.)

Todd Pettengill hosts the WrestleMania XI Report. We see clips from the press conference where Diesel talked about being Michaels bodyguard, winning the Intercontinental Championship last April and winning the WWF World Championship. He says he is the happiest man in the world. Michaels took the microphone and said that he excites people every time he wrestles. He promises to give a show that no one has ever seen before. Bam-Bam Bigelow talked at the press conference saying that there isn’t a NFL player who can beat him. Lawrence Taylor appeared at the press conference and says he has made people who are a lot bigger and better retire from the football field. He calls Bigelow an Easter egg. Taylor is going to have fun at WrestleMania. He and Bigelow shook hands with Taylor actually kissing Bigelow on the cheek! Pettengill promotes several celebrities who will be appearing at the event.

Second Contest: Bob Backlund defeated Buck Quartermaine: Backlund wins the squash match by submission with the cross face chicken wing.

Next week, Jerry Lawler will compete against Bret Hart to settle their bad blood.

Main Event: Duke Droese defeated Steven Dunn:
Jerry Lawler called into the show during the match talking about how excited he is to wrestle Bret Hart next week but isn’t sure that Bret will actually show up. Lawler believes that Bret is a racist. Dunn actually controls Droese for several moments with a few clotheslines and simple strikes while Lawler continues to talk about Hart being a racist. Droese manages to win the bout following a power slam.
After the match, Dunn tried to hit Droese with a trash can but Droese blocked it and sent Dunn up the aisle way with a hip toss. Droese finds a one hundred dollar bill in a banana peel. He is rather happy about finding the bill. Droese shows off his trash picking skills by picking up trash, but actually misses a few pieces.

Vince McMahon and Jim Cornette promotes next week’s show which will see Bret Hart square off against Jerry Lawler.

The show comes to an end with highlights of the WrestleMania XI press conference.

Final Thoughts:
Aside from HBK/Bulldog this was a really uneventful show. Luckily, their match lasted nearly half the show, thus making this a passable show just because of that.
