Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) There aren’t any major interview segments, but rather various video packages highlighting what has happened on RAW in recent weeks. The main event this week is a rematch from Wrestling Challenge from a few months ago when Mabel and Mo turned heel on the Smoking Gunns after a tag match.
2.) Billy and Mabel start the featured bout with Mabel tossing Billy to the corner and taunting the fans afterward. Billy avoids a splash and delivers a few boots but Mabel hits a scoop slam before missing an elbow drop. Billy follows up with a couple of dropkicks but Mabel sidesteps Billy and tags in Mo. Billy nearly pins Mo with an inside cradle and hip tosses Mo. Bart tags in and works over the left arm of Mo. Mo gets some offense after a back elbow but misses an elbow drop. Bart backdrops Mo and is fired up. A double side Russian leg sweep on Mo that gets a two count. Mabel tags back in and shoulder blocks Bart. Mabel drives Bart down to the canvas with a side slam. Bart is sent to the floor but Mabel doesn’t go out to followup. Mabel takes Bart over with a backdrop but can’t get a three count. Bart takes Mo over with a snap suplex but Mabel tags back in. Mabel misses a sit down splash and Bart tags in Billy. Billy comes off the ropes and clotheslines Mabel several times but Mabel doesn’t go down. Billy hits a top rope cross body for a near fall! A double bulldog on Mabel and the Gunns have a chance to win but Mo breaks the cover up. Billy hammers Mo in the corner and is met with a splash from Mabel. Mabel hit a belly to belly suplex on Billy for the win. (*1/2. It’s amusing to me how little offense Mo manages to get in while teaming with Mabel. The team is basically a one man show, which helps put Mabel over even more. The tag match wasn’t anything all that great.)
3.) Jerry Lawler is back at his dentists office. Lawler is talking to a young kid and his mother. He is ripping on Bret Hart for messing with him and now Bret is going to have to pay the price by going to the dentist. We see the dentist who is an enormous guy with disgusting teeth.
Final Thoughts:
A better episode of Superstars this week, but that’s just because last weeks episode was awful. At least we had a feature match but the show is still lacking entertaining segments.
