1.) Psicosis defeated Rey Mysterio Jr. in a best two out of three falls match
1.) The Dudley Family cut a promo and there is a new member for the group, Buh Buh Ray Dudley. Dudley Dudley says he only does the interviews because he is the only true Dudley. Big Dick happened because their father had a liaison with the Holland Tunnel.
2.) Rey sends Psicosis to the floor and takes him out with a cross body off the apron sending both men over the railing into the crowd. Rey leaps over the top rope to take Psicosis out again and they go over the railing a second time. Rey hits a nice standing hurricanrana to win the first fall rather quickly. Mysterio: 1, Psicosis: 0.
Psicosis misses a splash in the corner and Mysterio hits a spinning heel kick. Rey connects with a top rope head scissors and leaps off the apron to head scissors Psicosis on the floor. Psicosis kicks Rey after faking out a handshake request. Psicosis sends Rey flipping into the corner. Psicosis has Rey over his shoulder and rams him gut first into the turnbuckle who follows with a spear to the back. Psicosis continues his offense with a bronco buster of sorts in the corner. Psicosis drives Mysterio down with a power bomb for a near fall. Psicosis locks in the sharpshooter but Rey isn’t giving in. On the floor, Psicosis sends Rey into the railing and whacks Rey over the legs with a steel chair. Psicosis slams Rey onto a table before returning to the ring. Psicosis hits a slingshot leg drop from the apron back into the ring. Rey avoids a spear in the corner causing Psicosis to hit the ring post. Rey hits a hurricanrana and attempts a springboard moonsault but Psicosis catches Rey and hits a tombstone piledriver to get a three count. Mysterio: 1, Psicosis: 1
Psicosis power bombs Mysterio through a table setup on the floor. Psicosis tosses Rey over the railing into the crowd and proceeds to dive over the top to take Rey out with a suicide dive. Mysterio knocks Psicosis off the apron and hits a somersault dive over the top rope to the floor. Rey smashes Psicosis in the face with a steel chair a couple of times. Rey sends Psicosis face first into the ring post. Rey goes to the top and hits a snap hurricanarna but Psicosis kicks out at two. Rey head scissors Psicosis to the floor and hits a springboard dive to the floor. Psicosis puts Mysterio on the table and heads to the top rope. Psicosis leaps off and leg drops Rey through the table! Psicosis power bombs Mysterio and heads to the top rope hitting a twisting senton with a chair on Mysterio to win the match. (***1/2. There is very little selling here as they just did constant high spots and it’s a great display of what they have to offer. I’m fairly certain this is a rare victory of Psicosis over Mysterio in the US. I enjoyed it a lot.)
3.) Raven and Stevie Richards regained the tag titles from the Pitbulls on October 7th. Bill Alfonso would bloody Tod Gordon up after the match.
4.) Cactus Jack cuts a promo saying that nobody can take away what he accomplished on television for four years and he will go down with the greats like Patterson, Stevens, the Funk Brothers, Midnight Express and the American Males!
5.) Tommy Dreamer has a higher purpose, as well.
The Rey/Psicosis match takes up a good portion of the show and it was a really good spot fest. Aside from that there wasn’t really anything angle wise developing so it lacked in that regard.
