Jim Ross and Bobby Heenan welcome everyone to the 1995 King of the Ring and they promote the tournament. Heenan believes that tonight is going to the night where the Movement continues its rise to top and that nobody is going to be able to stop a determined Ron Simmons. Jim Ross predicts that Shawn Michaels is going to put the distractions to the side and walkout as the new king of the WWF! They also talk about the huge tag team main event where Sid teams with Lex Luger to battle WWF World Champion Diesel and WWF Intercontinental Champion Scott Steiner. Heenan thinks tonight will be a preview for the future because it’s just a matter of time before Sid and Luger hold the singles titles. Tonight is a huge night and there’s no more time to wait!
Opening Contest: Shawn Michaels defeated Jeff Jarrett in 14:55 following superkick to advance in the KOTR Tournament: During the match, Jarrett collided with Norton on the apron and ended up turning around into Sweet Chin Music leading to the victory.
Backstage, Owen Hart was interviewed by Todd Pettengill and says that tonight he’s going to continue to show the world that he’s the best Hart and defeat Bret onto his way to the WWF World Championship. Owen is determined to get out of Bret’s shadow once and for all and that will happen tonight.
Second Contest: Bret Hart defeated Owen Hart in 16:09 with the Sharpshooter to advance in the KOTR Tournament:
Backstage, Ron Simmons is interviewed by Todd Pettengill regarding his upcoming match. Simmons isn’t afraid of the unpredictable Bam-Bam Bigelow. Simmons is here for a fight and knows that Bigelow is going to be ready for one. Tonight is the Movement’s night and Bigelow is going to be another victim.
Third Contest: Ron Simmons defeated Bam-Bam Bigelow in 9:34 following a spinebuster to advance in the KOTR Tournament:
Backstage, Ted DiBiase, Sid and Lex Luger and interviewed by Todd Pettengill. DiBiase tells Pettengill that tonight is the first step before his men take all the gold from Diesel and Scott Steiner. DiBiase says that winning tonight would ease the pain of Luger’s injured face. Luger has never been the same since losing the WWF World Championship and they will do whatever it takes to regain the gold. Sid chimes in and screams into the camera saying that he’s going to powerbomb Diesel straight to hell.
Backstage, Jeff Jarrett is arguing with Scott Norton until Norton shoves Jarrett and tells Jarrett that he’s “sick of your crap.” Jarrett is left sitting on the floor frustrated with Norton’s behavior.
Fourth Contest: The Undertaker defeated Hunter Hearst Helmsley in 11:42 following a tombstone piledriver to advance in the KOTR Tournament: Late in the match, Taker chokeslammed Helmsley, but Helmsley rolled to the floor and began to walk up the aisle as if to escape the match. However, Randy Savage returned and walked up behind Helmsley. Helmsley bumped into Savage and upon seeing Savage, begged off. However, Savage instead rolled Helmsley back into the ring and Taker hit the tombstone piledriver for the win. After the match, Savage walked off intensely while Helmsley remained laid out.
Backstage, Todd Pettengill conducted an interview with the Kid and Marty Jannetty. Jannetty says they know they are the underdogs, but you can never count an underdog out. Kid chimes in and says that tonight they are prepared to shock the world and bring the Movement to a screeching halt tonight.
Fifth Contest: WWF Tag Team Champions Carlos Vega & Tatanka defeated The Kid & Marty Jannetty in 14:20 to retain the titles after Tatanka pinned Jannetty following the End of the Trail
A video package highlighting the careers of Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels is shown. The package heavily promotes how important the tournament is and can lead to the WWF World Championship for both men.
Sixth Contest: Bret Hart defeated Shawn Michaels in 18:16 after countering the superkick with a rollup to advance in the KOTR Tournament. After the match, they shook hands to show mutual respect for each other.
Seventh Contest Ron Simmons defeated The Undertaker in 10:54 following a spinebuster to advance in the KOTR Tournament
A video package promoting the next In Your House pay per view is shown. The event takes place on July 23rd.
Eighth Contest: The British Bulldog defeated Hakushi in 7:57 following a running powerslam
Jim Ross and Bobby Heenan take some time to promote the finals of the King of the Ring. It’s a huge match for both Simmons and Hart. Simmons has long wanted a shot at the WWF World Championship and now has the opportunity to earn a shot at SummerSlam. Meanwhile, Hart has been on a long journey to regain the WWF World Championship after losing the title nearly two years ago. Heenan believes that Simmons is too determined to be denied and Ross believes that Hart won’t let the opportunity slip through his fingers.
Ninth Contest: Ron Simmons defeated Bret Hart in 15:15 to win the 1995 King of the Ring following the Dominator.
Todd Pettnegill meets with Ron Simmons at the podium to give Simmons his crown. Tatanka and Carlos Vega are standing next to Simmons proudly. Simmons tells the fans and Pettengill that the crown is not what he wants, but he accepts what it symbolizes. Tonight, he has earned the right to be praised and respected. Simmons demands the fans show him respect because he has proven to be the king of the ring tonight. At SummerSlam, Simmons proclaims that he’ll become the king of the World Wrestling Federation and become the rightful holder of the WWF World Championship and it doesn’t matter who is the champion heading into the event. Simmons finishes off saying that the real important coronation will take place at SummerSlam.
Tenth Contest: The Smoking Gunns & Adam Bomb defeated Pretty Models & IRS in 8:06 when the Gunns pinned Martel after the Sidewinder.

Main Event: WWF World Champion Diesel & WWF Intercontinental Champion Scott Steiner defeated Psycho Sid & Lex Luger in 20:34 when Diesel pinned Luger following the Jackknife powerbomb. After the match, DiBiase has a fit on the floor while Diesel and Steiner pose for the fans to conclude the pay per view.
