- Commissioner Bret Hart and WWA owner Andrew McManus stood at a podium in the middle of the ring to start the show. Bret Hart gave a brief backstory and introduction for Curt Hennig, the newest member of the WWA Hall of Fame! Curt Hennig came down to the ring in his tuxedo looking to be in great shape. Curt kept his speech relatively short, thanked the fans worldwide, and held up his commemorative plaque. Andrew McManus closed the segment with letting Curt Hennig announce his nominee for the next inductee into the Hall of Fame. Hennig said that his pick was a huge influence on him in the AWA… the perfect inductee would be “The Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko! Zbyszko would be on-hand to accept his induction LIVE on April 13 in Melbourne, Australia for THE ERUPTION pay-per-view!
- “The Franchise” Shane Douglas gave kudos to Bret Hart for his choice in inducting Hennig. He mentioned the shape he appeared to be in and said that he’d like to see another perfect match or two out of Curt Hennig! Jeremy Borash and Mark Madden agreed and grazed over a few of the announced matches tonight, using live event footage to help recap some of the major angles. It has been reported that Sting was indeed at one-hundred percent for tonight’s main event, despite the non-finish to his match with Scott Steiner in Phoenix last night. Douglas doubted the news and said that he saw first-hand how hurt Sting was at ringside.

He made sure that Styles was responsive to medical help before heading for the back. Just then, Devon Storm (FKA Crowbar) and Daffney made their debut entrance and headed for the ring to immediately challenge Saturn for his WWA World Hardcore Championship!

- “The Franchise” Shane Douglas got into the ring with a microphone and Sting prepped for a closing interview. Instead, as Douglas brought the microphone to his mouth, he bypassed it and drove one end of it into Sting’s forehead! With Sting caught off guard, Douglas then planted him with a Pittsburgh Plunge! He unbuttoned and removed his dress shirt and threw it down onto Sting before hoisting up the WWA World Heavyweight Championship! Douglas laughed and exited as Curt Hennig tended to Sting and told “The Franchise” to leave.

- Once the match finished, Shane Douglas grabbed a microphone from ringside and said that he was officially resigning from the desk and that his time under a headset was over. For months, he has watched on as Sting bitched and complained about every bump and bruise he’s taken since the start of the promotion. Douglas said soon Sting would have something to cry about, because “The Franchise” is officially putting him on notice. He is gunning for the WWA World Heavyweight Championship! From the crowd and behind Douglas’ back, Sting slipped into the ring and dropped Douglas with a Stinger Death Drop.
