World Wrestling Federation presents Wrestling Challenge
Date:
5/10/1992
From: Niagara Falls, NY

Matches:
1.) The Undertaker defeated Glen Ruth
2.) Virgil defeated Dublin Destroyer
3.) Skinner defeated Scott Taylor
4.) Earthquake defeated WWF Tag Team Champion Ted DiBiase by disqualification
5.) Owen Hart & Koko B. Ware defeated Barry Hardy & Duane Gill
6.) Big Bossman defeated Vince Sola
7.) Shawn Michaels defeated Bob Wisseman

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Mr. Fuji and Berzerker shared pre-tape comments during Undertaker’s match. Berzerker promises that next time he’s not going to miss with his sword.

2.) Special Report hosted by Lord Alfred Hayes focuses on the recent happenings between Tatanka and Rick Martel. Martel is quite proud of his actions of blinding Tatanka. Hayes notes that Tatanka is fully recovered following immediate medical attention. Tatanka shares comments saying he’s pissed about Martel taking his feathers, which mean a lot to him. Thus, Tatanka will seek revenge.

3.) DiBiase attacks Earthquake before the bell with a few knee strikes. Quake fights back with a series of strikes in the corner. Quake nails DiBiase with a clothesline. Quake splashes DiBiase in the corner a couple of times and delivers an elbow drop. Quake signals for the sit down splash, but Jimmy Hart pulls DiBiase out of the ring. DiBiase bails up the aisle, but Typhoon walks out and stops DiBiase. IRS comes running down and nails Typhoon from behind with the steel briefcase. IRS rams Typhoon onto the ring steps face first. Quake grabs IRS by his tie, but DiBiase decks Quake from behind. IRS enters and hits Quake with the briefcase a few times. The tag champs nail Quake over the head with the briefcase several times to leave him laying. (NR. That was a good angle for the feud, I’d say. Leading into Mania there wasn’t a major happening to serve a purpose. So, naturally we get that purpose after the big event. I liked this, though.)

4.) Back on Prime Time Koko was not wearing matching gear with Owen, but now he is. So, High Energy is officially a team, folks!

5.) High Energy shared pre-taped comments during their squash match. They reveal their High Energy name and Koko asks how can they lose with the stuff they’re going to use.

6.) Mean Gene conducts an interview with Repo Man on the podium. Repo sneaks up behind Gene to scare him. Repo steals Gene’s watch, but gives it back. Gene scolds Repo for choking Davey Boy Smith, but Repo says that Smith deserved it. Repo tells Gene if he had it his way Smith would still be hanging from the rope. Repo talks about going to a woman’s home and the dogs in the neighborhood bark and ruin his job. So, there’s no bulldog that’s going to ruin his job. He’s got a leash.. in fact a choke chain. Repo says his best friend is a choke chain and walks off.

7.) A vignette promoting the new wrestler Crush is shown. Crush is at a junkyard and talks about loving the game of baseball. However, his strength would ruin the baseball. He’s in the WWF and he’s not playing games anymore.

8.) Shawn Michaels and Sensational Sherri cut a pre-tape promo during his match. Michaels notes they will be on Family Feud starting Monday. Michaels says they asked 100 people who will beat Bret Hart for the WWF Intercontinental Championship and it’s going to be him.

9.) Next week, WWF World Champion Randy Savage will be interviewed, Kamala returns to the WWF, and the feature match will be the Beverly Brothers vs. The Bushwhackers.

10.) The Beverly Brothers can’t believe they have to get in the ring with the filthy creatures known as the Bushwhackers, just like the Legion of Doom. The Bushwhackers call the Beverly’s sissies and they are going to wipe them out.

Final Thoughts:
I thought this was a good show with a strong angle between the Disasters and Money Inc. Repo’s promo didn’t come across all that great, but at least they’re trying something with the character.
