WWE Hell In A Cell 2012 Predictions!

Tonight the WWE returns to pay per view with Hell In A Cell. Here is the card along with my predictions for the event.

For the WWE Intercontinental Championship
[champion] Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz

Considering the title changed hands recently and Kofi Kingston is apparently in line for a big singles push, this should be a rather easy pick. It should be a decent match, but Miz isn’t about win this one.

For the WWE Divas Championship
[champion] Eve vs. Layla vs. Kaitlyn

The last I knew, Eve attacked Kaitlyn to screw her out of a title shot at Night of Champions, I think. Eve then beat Layla thus setting this showdown. I’m not interested in it, but I think we will get a Eve/Kaitlyn singles match at some point. Besides, Eve is a better performer than either one of the challengers here. So, Eve retains in my mind.

For the WWE World Tag Team Championships
[champions] Team Hell No vs. Team Rhodes Scholars

Two tag teams that have provided some great entertainment over recent weeks. Kane and Daniel Bryan have become one of the few segments on WWE television where they are must see and they manage to provide consistent entertainment. I like this match on paper, but to take the belts off of Kane and Bryan so soon would be a mistake. The fans are behind them (though, I don’t know if they was the intent) and they are a money making team. The titles stay with Team Hell No.

Grudge Match:
Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio

I was watching Main Event this past week and I realized one thing. I don’t care about Alberto Del Rio and I really don’t care about Randy Orton as a babyface. It’s no wonder Orton wants to turn heel. He is so much better in that role, it’s not even funny. I’m still convinced that Orton is the guy to feud with Sheamus and is the likely option to win the championship from him (if Ziggler doesn’t cash in) in the near future. Orton wins here and Del Rio’s role in the WWE continues to go downward.

For the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
[champion] Sheamus vs Big Show

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that the winner of this match isn’t billed as taking part int eh match. I believe we will see Dolph Ziggler cash in his briefcase and win the championship. As you recall, Daniel Bryan cashed in during a title match that Big Show was involved in. I believe we will see a repeat of this, but Sheamus will initially beat Big Show before losing to Ziggler. At least, I hope that happens.

For the WWE Championship
Hell In A Cell Match
[champion] CM Punk vs. Ryback

There has been a lot of talk about this match and while the WWE has booked themselves into a corner, there is interest, which has been lacking in recent years for the company, really. Do you have Ryback lose? I wouldn’t put the championship on him. Yeah, it would be a big victory and the comparisons of Goldberg would continue to happen, but there is money in Punk/Rock for the championship in January. Ryback/Rock doesn’t have any build towards it. If you were to have Ryback win, you’re killing nearly a years worth of build because one guy got hot. They have to find a way to protect Ryback here and I think we will see John Cena get involved and accidentally cost Ryback the match. Punk needs to prevail and that will piss people off even more.

Lastly, it hasn’t been announced but there may be a tag match between the team of Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara to take on the Primetime Players. If this match were to happen, I’d pick Rey and Cara to win. That’s the only possible match I’ve read to be added.

Feel free to share your predictions below! Thanks for reading.
