World Wrestling Federation presents RAW
Date:
11/20/1995
From: Richmond, VA

Matches:
1.) The 1-2-3 Kid defeated Hakushi
2.) Savio Vega fought Skip to a no contest
3.) Shawn Michaels fought Owen Hart to a no contest

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) We see highlights from last nights Survivor Series which saw Diesel effectively turn heel after losing the WWF World Championship to Bret Hart.

2.) The opening match is a rematch from SummerSlam with their roles being reversed. Razor Ramon calls in during the match to talk about how he isn’t going to cry over Kid turning on him. Razor says that Kid is going to pay for his betrayal. Kid misses a spinning heel kick and is met with a dropkick. Marty Jannetty runs out and tries to enter the ring but two referees prevent him from entering the match. It comes across as a half hearted attempt, really. Kid works over Hakushi with several kicks in the corner. Hakushi catches a spin kick but Kid uses his free leg to drop Hakushi anyway. Kid avoids a dropkick attempt and drops an elbow on Hakushi for a near fall. Kid slams Hakushi and heads to the top rope to hit a frog splash for a two count. Hakushi ducks a clothesline to hit a tilt a whirl back breaker. Hakushi drops Kid with a couple of strikes. Hakushi hits a handspring back elbow in the corner but can’t get a three count. Hakushi leaps off the top to hit a clothesline and gets another near fall. Hakushi kicks Kid to the floor before heading to the top rope. Ted DiBiase gets on the apron while the referee is distracted to shove Hakushi off to the canvas. Kid delivers a spin kick and gets the three count. (**1/2. A decent match between these guys with a cheap finish. Pretty obvious that Kid was going to win considering his recent heel turn and eventual feud with Ramon. Hakushi has fallen far down the card after his feud with Bret in the spring.)

3.) After the match, Jerry Lawler interviewed DiBiase and Kid. However, Marty Jannetty came out to confront them. Sid comes over and attacks Jannetty and delivered a power bomb on the floor! Sid says that is what Marty gets when you mess with Kid or Sid.

4.) Skip attacks Vega before the bell but Vega comes back with several strikes in the corner. Vega comes out of the corner with a clothesline but Skip drops Savio with a kick to the head. Vega catapults Skip chest first into the corner and plays to the crowd. Skip hits a leaping cross body for a two count. Vega takes Skip over with a snap suplex and a backdrop. Skip and Vega trade strikes when Diesel makes his way down to the ring. Vega backdrops Skip over the top to the floor as Diesel approaches Skip on the floor. Skip bumps into Diesel, who tosses Skip down to the floor.

5.) Diesel grabs a microphone and says he thought he’d come out and apologize to his fans and to Bret Hart for last night. He isn’t going to do that, though. Diesel slept like a baby for the first time in a year last night. Diesel had a smile on his face for the first time in a year. Diesel was a corporate puppet that Vince decided to create. Diesel says that McMahon missed the ball on this one. He recalls talking to some corporate people who wanted him to smile more and be more corporate. What we saw last night was the tip of the iceberg. Big Daddy Cool is back the same Diesel we saw in Providence at the Royal Rumble. Diesel will smack hands with people who have a black glove. He doesn’t care give people love him or hate him. Honestly, that’s the Diesel we should have had! Backstage, we see Diesel embracing Shawn Michaels before leaving the arena.

6.) Owen starts off with a shoulder block for a two count on Michaels and keeps Shawn on the canvas. Michaels backslides Owen and follows up with a few arm drags and a dropkick to send Owen to the floor. Shawn drags Hart back into the ring and wrenches on his arm. Michaels hits a standing hurricanrana but misses a clothesline and Owen sends Michaels over the top with a clothesline. Owen knocks Shawn down with a baseball slide and taunts the fans back in the ring. Owen takes Michaels over with a German suplex and gets a near fall. Owen focuses his attack on Shawn’s lower back with a back breaker. Owen nails Shawn with a spinning heel kick for a near fall. Owen continues his offense with a swinging neck breaker for a near fall. Owen gets out of a backslide to drop Michaels with a clothesline. Owen runs into a back elbow and Shawn fights out of the corner with strikes. Shawn counters a superplex by landing on top and nearly pins Owen. Michaels comes off the ropes to hit a leaping clothesline and both men are down. Shawn hits a leaping forearm shot and plays to the crowd. Shawn stomps on Owen’s face and scoop slams Hart before heading to the top rope. Michaels comes off the top and hits an elbow drop for a two count! Shawn sends Owen hard chest first into the corner but Owen doesn’t come out and kicks Michaels in the head! Owen tries for the Sharpshooter which is avoided. Michaels clotheslines Owen to the floor and pulls himself back into the ring. Shawn poses but then grabs his head and collapses to the mat. Owen is just looking at him from the floor while the referee is checking on him and the announcers are confused as to what is going on. Vince McMahon enters the ring as the show goes to black.

Back from commercial, we see Michaels being attended to by paramedics who are giving him oxygen. The announcers have left their table and Vince is in the ring. The show goes off the air with Michaels still knocked out and being worked on by paramedics.

Final Thoughts:
I was really enjoying the main event when the angle happened. It’s a unique route to go but it’s an interesting one for sure. It kind of made Owen look like a threat to Michaels having knocked him out. I’d say it was a good show this week for RAW as we got a couple of decent matches and the Diesel heel run begins.
