WWE WrestleMania XXVIII 2012 Predictions!
Tomorrow night, WWE presents their biggest show of the year… WrestleMania. Whether you are a lifelong fan, or just the casual fan, this is the show you are going to want to watch. Here are my predictions for the big event!
For the WWE World Tag Team Championships:
[champions] Epico & Primo vs. Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd vs. The Usos
This is a match that will be aired on wwe.com and YouTube. Hey, at least they made the show, right? There isn’t any story between these teams, really. I’m inclined to think we will see a title change here. I’m thinking that the random tag team formation between Gabriel and Kidd could lead to them dominating the tag division. It’s just a hunch. I’m going with Kidd and Gabriel to win the titles to open the big show.
Kelly Kelly & Maria Menounos vs. WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix & Eve
Well, this is a easy one. Kelly and Maria win this just because Maria is a celebrity and if Snooki can win at Mania, why shouldn’t Maria?
Kane vs. Randy Orton
These two are capable of having a good match, and I think this is the point in time where Kane is stopped and he either goes away or just returns to the midcard scene. Or, they drag this out and have a double disqualification between the two. I’m going to go that route and say there isn’t a winner. This will end in either a double count-out or disqualification.
Team Teddy vs. Team Johnny
Personally, I’d rather have Team Johnny win than Team Teddy. Johnny is a lot better at his role and I feel that Teddy would have a rough time on a live show like RAW. I say that because he has a rough time with his lines on a taped show. I”ll go with Team Johnny winning and that gives Johnny Ace power over both brands, which I think is far more interesting, anyway.
For the WWE Intercontinental Championship:
[champion] Cody Rhodes vs. Big Show
I really, really, really don’t want Show to win this one. But, he needs to have a WrestleMania moment and the loss wouldn’t exactly kill Rhodes at all. Ugh, Show is able to shut Rhodes up here and wins via knockout.
For the WWE World Heavyweight Championship:
[champion] Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus
Bryan has been a great champion and I feel like he could be a worthy champion for a long time. However, I think this is the WWE trying to make Sheamus into a top dog for their company, which I think they need to do. Sheamus wins here.
For the WWE Championship:
[champion] CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho
Probably the match of the night and that shouldn’t surprise anyone. I know that Jericho has signed a few months extension, which may make us believe that Jericho will get the title here. But, I don’t think he does. Punk is the long term option here and he needs to beat a guy from the past. If people from the past keep on beating guys for the here and now, how is that good for the company? Jericho falls to the GTS.
Hell In A Cell: special referee: Shawn Michaels
The Undertaker vs. Triple H
Undertaker wins. That’s all that needs to be said here.
The Rock vs. John Cena
The battle between these two has been rather silly. It’s been all on Twitter and childish insults. Cena should be the guy to beat Rock since Cena will be in the company tomorrow and forever after while Rock will be off making movies. It’s an obvious outcome, so hopefully the match is enjoyable.
That’s it for the predictions. I hope everyone enjoys the show!
